Our goal is to help the student make rapid improvement in grades and understanding. With that in mind, our individual instruction starts with the student's current assignment. We do not give formal tests, nor do we require an initial diagnostic test. We assess the student's level and progress by working with and observing the student. We strive to provide a relaxed environment in which even the shyest student is comfortable asking questions. In turn, we make corrections gently and take every opportunity to increase the student's confidence.  

Our tutoring stresses an understanding of fundamental concepts. We believe that a solid foundation leads to improvement both now and in the future. Each student is assigned to the same tutor, so that the tutor gets to know the student's abilities and the style of teaching that works best.

We welcome students currently enrolled in school, or preparing for a class.  We also welcome home-schooled students.

We do not travel to the student's home. We believe we are more effective in our office, which is comfortable and relaxed--an environment in which the students enjoy learning.

POST HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE

We welcome students from all our local post-high school institutions, including Full Sail, Valencia Community College, Seminole Community College, University of Central Florida, and Rollins College.

Our tutors are highly qualified and have a track record of success.

NOTE:  We DO NOT provide the answers to take-home tests.

We assist students who are preparing for many standardized tests, including those listed.

In one-to-one sessions, we assess the student's readiness in each test area so that we know what to emphasize. We then focus on specific needs and teach appropriate test-taking strategies. We give homework assignments, drawing from our library if appropriate.
